Why Start a Chapter
The most powerful thing about the HeadStrong movement is that it doesn't need a top-down mandate. It needs students who care — and who are willing to show up for their campus community.
Starting a HeadStrong chapter means becoming the person who shifts the culture on your campus. It's not complicated. It starts with you.
How to Get Started
Most universities have a student organizations office. Register HeadStrong as an official club — this unlocks funding, event space, and school promotion.
You don't have to do this alone. Recruit 2–3 friends who care about the cause. Athletes, pre-med students, and community leaders are great fits.
Your first campus event is built-in. Film your chapter's Brain Freeze Challenge, nominate 3 campus groups, and tag @HeadStrongRideSmart.
Student athletes are your most powerful Brain Ambassadors. Connect with team captains and sports organizations to amplify the movement.
Get free HeadStrong stickers to distribute at orientation, games, and events. Visibility creates conversation — conversation creates culture change.
What Chapters Do
Host Brain Freeze Challenge events, helmet fittings, and awareness tables at high-traffic spots on campus.
Work with sports teams and club athletes to model helmet use and make it part of athletic culture on your campus.
Connect students with free helmets funded by HeadStrong donations and campus partnerships.
Run campus-specific social content using #BrainFreezeChallenge and #BeHeadStrong to grow the movement online.
